Why these cards?

We chose words that belong to a particular field, such as law, number, medicine and schooling, rather than everyday words. Every form in every language has two independent sources, at least one of them a dictionary of that language. Anything with only one source is shown on the card's page, marked "single source", and is kept off the card.
