Kept Alive in Arabic
Galen's Anatomical Procedures
تشريح جالينوس
Galen wrote fifteen books On Anatomical Procedures; the last part is lost in Greek – half of Book IX and the six after it. The work survives whole in an Arabic translation made in the school of Hunayn ibn Ishaq in Baghdad, from which those books were first printed at Leipzig in 1906, and put into English in 1962.
