*ورقة المؤتمر*

تكتسي النصوص الفلسفية العربية الأولى التي نقلت المفاهيم والتصورات الجمالية والميتافيزيقية اليونانية من سياقها الثقافي الأصلي إلى اللغة والفكر العربيين أهمية بالغة، لأنها تؤشر على بداية تفاعل الثقافة العربية مع الفلسفة اليونانية واحتكاكها بها، وتؤرخ للحظة هامة في تاريخ الحضارة العربية الإسلامية، بل وفي تاريخ الحضارة الإنسانية جمعاء.

وكما هو الحال في كل تفاعل بين منظومتين ثقافيتين مختلفتين فكريا ومذهبيا وعقديا، فقد استلزم هذا الاحتكاك بين الثقافتين الانتقال باللغة والفكر من مستوى تعبيري متداول، وتصور عقلي مألوف، إلى مستوى جديد يختلف اختلافا عن سابقه؛ مستوى تنفتح فيه لغة الهدف وثقافته على مصطلحات وأنساق مفهومية جديدة غير متداولة، وأسئلة أنطلولوجية وميتافيزيقية غير مسبوقة.

وقد أغنى هذا الاحتكاك الفكر العربي القديم بآليات اصطلاحية وطرائق مغايرة لرؤية العالم، كما كان محطة اختبار حقيقية لقدرة اللغة والحضارة العربيتين على التفاعل مع مختلف الأنشطة العقلية والثقافية المتباينة، ومواكبة مجمل الأنساق النظرية والمفهومية الواردة عليهما. فقد كان مطلب تلك المرحلة، بكل مكوناتها اللغوية والثقافية والفكرية، مطلبا يجمع بين التصور العقلي والتمثل الذهني للمنقول اليوناني ومقتضياته التداولية. فقد كان الأمر ملحا على الحضارة الإسلامية العربية الناشئة أن تؤكد تميزها وقدرتها على الإبداع في شتى المجالات.

وبالرغم من أن انفتاح الثقافة الإسلامية العربية على ترجمة علوم الأوائل قد بدأ رسميا مع انطلاقة الدولة العباسية، إلا أن الخطاب المعرفي والمعجمي بدأ يتفاعل قبل هذا التاريخ مع بقية الثقافات الأخرى. وقد سلك التراجمة مسالك شتى في نقل علوم الأوائل سواء في لحظة البداية الرسمية لحركة الترجمة أو لحظة بداياتها الأولى، كما اتخذوا مناهج اختلفت بحسب خصوصية النص المترجَم وموضوعه. ومن المؤكد أن هؤلاء التراجمة كانوا على وعي بخصوصية لحظتهم التاريخية والمعرفية التي لم تكن تنفصل عن لحظة ثقافية ومعرفية أخرى نضجت فيها العلوم الأصيلة، وتشكلت بوضع جهازها المفاهيمي لمعارفها المدونة والناشئة.

ولئن كان ذلك يسمح بالحديث عن أوجه التفاعل بين العلوم الدخيلة والعلوم الأصيلة، فإن التركيز على النقول الفلسفية اليونانية المبكرة عند العرب، والبحث في مناهجها واتجاهاتها وآليات اشتغالها من شأنه أن يفيد في إعادة رسم ملامح لحظة دقيقة من تاريخ نشأة الفكر الفلسفي عند العرب وتطوره، خاصة وأن البحث في النصوص الفلسفية العربية الأولى والحفر في بنياتها وطرائق تعبيرها كفيل بإزالة اللثام عن التجليات الأولى لاستنبات الفكر الفلسفي عند العرب، والمساقات التي اتخذتها هجرة المفاهيم اليونانية إلى الثقافة العربية، كما من شأنه أيضا أن يكشف عن المرجعية النظرية الأولى التي استند إليها الفلاسفة المسلمون المتأخرون في قراءة التراث اليوناني شرحا وتلخيصا، و أن يبرز أن كثيرا من التصورات والمصطلحات التي قدمها أولئك الفلاسفة لم تكن كلها وليدة اجتهاداتهم الخاصة، بل كانوا ينطلقون فيها مما نحته أسلافهم من المترجمين والشراح الأوائل للفلسفة اليونانية، وقد ظلوا تابعين لهم في كثير منها، بالرغم من كونهم أكثر فهما واستيعابا لتلك النصوص من غيرهم.

تدعو هذه الورقة المتواضعة جميع المهتمين والباحثين في هذا المجال إلى الوقوف عند هذه النصوص مكاشفة واستنطاقا وتحليلا، مستنيرة بالمقاربة النظرية والتتبع التاريخي لموضوع الإشكال، وأن تسلك مسلكا تطبيقيا في مقاربته انطلاقا من المؤلفات والعلوم الآتية:

1-    كتب الطب.

2-    علوم التعاليم: الحساب، الهندسة، الفلك (الهيئة)، علم الحيل (الميكانيكا)، الموسيقى، المناظر، الأوزان والأثقال.

3-    المنطق: الإيساغوجي، المقولات، العبارة، التحليلات الأولى (القياس)، التحليلات الثانية (البرهان)، الجدل، السفسطة، الخطابة، الشعر.

4-    علوم الطبيعة: الطبيعة، الكون والفساد، الآثار العلوية، السماء والعالم، النبات، الحيوان، النفس، الطبيعيات الصغرى.

• أن يتسم البحث بالمنهجية العلمية ومواصفات البحث العلمي الرصين.
• أن تتراوح صفحات البحث ما بين 15 و 20 صفحة، مقاس(A4) ، وأن يكون خط المتن والعناوين  (Times New Roman) بمقاس (14)، و (Times New Roman) بمقاس (12) في الهوامش.
•    ترقم هوامش البحث كاملة، من أول إحالة إلى آخرها، وذلك في أسفل الصفحة مع الاكتفاء بكتابة اسم الكتاب والصفحة فقط.
• ترتيب قائمة المصـادر والمراجع في آخر البحث باعتماد عناوين المؤلفات.

Call for Papers

The earlyArabicphilosophicaltextswhichtransferred the Greek concepts and aesthetic, and metaphysical perceptions fromtheir original cultural contextsinto the Arabiclanguage and thought are of verygreat importance becausetheyindicate the beginning of the contact between the Arabic culture and Greekphilosophy. Theyalsochronicle an important period in the history of Arabic and Islamiccivilization and the history of Humanity in general.

As is the case in everyinterchangebetweenintellectually, ideologically and religiouslydifferentsystems, this contact has meantmovingfrom the common expressive level and familiarintellectual perception of a language to another. In the process, the targetlanguage and culture opened up to a multitude of new terms, uncommonconceptualsystems and unprecedentedanthological and metaphysical issues.

In the Arabic /Greek situation, the interaction between the twodidindeedenrich the oldArabicthoughtwithterminologicalmechanisms and different perceptions of the world. It wasalso a real test for the Arabiclanguage and civilization’sability to interactwithdifferentintellectual and cultural activities and keep pace with the differentincomingtheoretical and conceptualsystems. As such, itbecame an urgent task for the emergingArabo-Islamiccivilization to emphasizeitsability to becreative in all fields.

Despite the factthat the translation of ancient sciences in the Arabo-Islamiccivilizationofficiallystartedwith the Abbasiddynasty, the cognitive and lexical discoursebeganprior to this date alongwith the other cultures. In addition, the translators followedvariouspaths in transferring the early sciences, beitat the official outset of the translation movement or in itsveryearlydays. Translators alsofolloweddifferentapproachesdepending on the characteristics of the source text and itssubjectmatter. It goeswithoutsayingthatthese translators realized the magnitude of thathistorical and intellectual point in time, whichcoincidedwith the more generalhistorical and intellectualatmosphere in which the original sciences flourished and becamewellestablished.

By discussing aspects of the interaction between the adoptedforeign sciences and the original ones, emphasizing the earlyGreekphilosophicaltextstranslated by the Arabs and investigatingtheirmethods and mechanisms, wecanredefine the features of a precise moment in the history of the emergence and development of philosophicalthoughtamongst the Arabs. Interestinglyenough, investiating the earlyArabicphilosophicaltexts and delvingintotheir structures and ways of expression couldunveil the early manifestations of the Arabs’ philosophicalthought and help capture the trends in transferringGreek concepts into the Arabic culture. In sodoing, wecouldalso show the first theoreticalunderpinninguponwhichlaterMuslimphilosophersbasedthemselves to explain and summarize the Greekheritage. Furthermore, itcould show thatmany of the perceptions and terminologies whichthosephilosopherspresentedwere not all a product of theirownthought. Rather, theybasedtheirinterpretations on the earlier translators of the Greekphilosophers.

This conference calls upon all interested parties and researchers in thisfield to examine and analyzetheseearlytranslatedtexts in light of theoretical or historicalapproaches and to adoptpracticalapproaches to thesetextsfocusing on the followingfields of studies:

1. Medicine books.
2. Teaching Sciences: arithmetic, geometry, astronomy, mechanics, music, measures and weights.
3. Logic: Isagoge, Categories, On Interpretation, Prior Analytics (analogy), PosteriorAnalytics (evidence), dialectic, sophistry, Rhetoric and Poetics.
4. Natural Sciences: Physics, On Generation and Corruption, Meteorology, On the Heavens, On the Universe, plants, animals, On the Soul, LittlePhysicalTreatises.

• Use The APA documentation style throughout the paper. In particular, use parenthetical in-text citations (the author’s last name, date of publication, and where relevant the page numberfromwhichmaterialisborrowed) instead of endnotes and footnotes and use references for the list of all sources at the end of the paper. The use of op. cit. is to beavoided. All quotedmaterialshould have full location reference.
• For thosewhoopt to transliterateArabicwords, astandardizedtransliteration system is to befollowedsuch as the one adopted by the Library of Congress and the American Library Association (http://www.loc.gov/catdir/cpso/romanization/arabic.pdf).
